This book took me a while to read. I had to read it in little bits, digest, and then move on. It is FULL of thought-provoking ideas and learning, and inspires intense personal reflection. If I had read this a year ago, it wouldn't have meant as much or been as helpful as it was now, but I cannot say strongly enough that every woman should read this. It's all about shame, what it is, how to define, how our culture breeds it and how to move beyond it. It's not an easy read, but it's worth the emotional effort. You just have to be ready.
