liked it

I love historical fiction, I greatly enjoy learning the history of different countries through books that are fun to read. This one is good, especially when the voice is Salome's, who lived in the Dominican Republic as a famous poet at a time of frequent revolutions. I didn't really like the daughter's voice, Camila. Didn't relate to her and I didn't think it added much to the story either. Plus I didn't like the interpretation on her life, which I believe is fictionalized though who knows, maybe it isn't?
