Not initially as compelling as book 3, but I was definitely enthralled towards the end. More serious tone - we are talking about the survival of Western Civilization - but still moments of humor.
I like the continued complexity of the characters and the focus on CHOICES that lead to outcomes. I do, however, wish Percy would get a CLUE when it comes to girls....but he does turn 15 at the end of the book so I have to give him some slack for his age!
