The House of Thunder

This review contains spoilers, so do not read further if you intend to read the book and be surprised. This book has the feel to me of a short story (and a very short, short story at that) padded to make into a novel. The first 90% of the book is a sheer waste of time, with repetitive scenes of the heroine imagining each person she encounters to be one of 4 men who gruesomely murdered her fiancée several years before. This gets tiresome, to say the least. The last 10% of the book is much more interesting, and represents a plot twist of sorts. But then, the denouement is solved much too quickly and much too easily. I give this book only 2 stars out of 10.
