I was skeptical at first because it looks like any other piece of chick lit, but I really liked it. It was a really powerful about a totally dysfunctional family, and there was just so much more to the book than it seemed at first. For example, I thought I would totally hate Melinda, but then there was that whole rape thing...it didn't make me like her, but I kind of understood I guess. And it's not like she seduced Chase or something. He just kind of came to her as a way to get away from his dysfunctional-a** family. And I thought Noah and Chase would be pissed at each other when the whole Chase-slept-with-Melinda thing got out, but really it only brought them closer...so I guess with have Melinda to thank for that.

I liked Claudia a lot. She was the only one who hadn't totally lost her mind.

Chase was sweet and sensitive and...very effeminate at times. I'm not sure guys like that exist. But if they do, I would like to hug every single one of them. And if you're as hot as Chase, maybe more ;)
