Bethany E. Thane and Agatha Christie are very different writers (!) but it's interesting that they were both married to explorers. I know nothing about Beebe, but now I'm interested! Will add this one to my "To Read" list.

CLM I just finished reading Riders of the Wind which perhaps captures Elsywth's awestruck reaction to her husband but I much prefer From This Day Forward, which was written when she had hit her stride, also with an explorer as the hero.
