An excellent anthology with pieces by both well established voices in the African American literary world and up and coming writers. Includes work by Edwidge Danticat, John Edgar Wideman, Terry McMillan, and Bertice Berry. This is a good book to turn to when you're interested in something well written and interesting but not super long.
