Not being a consumer of 'chick-lit' on a regular basis and off the back of reading some momentous novels, this really was a bit of a come-down. I can't knock it too much as the book had a good premise - the ancient Gods of Greece down on their luck due to the sheer number of unbelievers and forced to live in a shabby London townhouse. My main problem with the book was that it wasn't all that much fun - the two main mortal characters, Alice and Neil (oh moy god, could you get more generic, boring names than those??) were really quite uninteresting and none of the 'Gods' had likeable characters. I think I'll stick with classics, sci-fi and highly-rated recommendations in the future...
