Blue Moon (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #8)

** spoiler alert **
I was expecting this book to be not as nearly as good as the previous two due to the reviews on here. Luckily I was surprised and found that I enjoyed it just as much.
I wouldn't say it was the best in the series so far but it is definitely one which has kept me hooked to the series.
I was finally thankful to Hamilton for the Richard Anita sex scene as I am totally in love with Richard (who couldn't be to be honest?!) and finally relished in a sex scene where I did not find it repulsing; there is just something gross about Jean-Claude.
The writing was still very good however like others have noted, Hamilton does tend to repeat herself quite a lot. I can get over this fact as sometimes I need a little reminder but at other times it is pretty annoying.
The one issue I have with this book is that I was totally confused with the whole Raina essence etc. thing. I did not really grasp the concept and felt it was over complicated.
Overall though another good read by Hamilton and I shall be continuing with Anita Blake.
