The plot is foreshortened, a memorable character from Volume 1 is reduced to a MacGuffin with cartographic birthmark on her "lower back" (i.e., ass), and everything is a tad dumber and more predictable. This is what happens when a wondrous world and some cool characters are forced to serve a time-stamped plot. Still, amazing pencils and coloring again: rated-R Tintin FTW.
