Age of readership: Ages 2-6

Genre: Picture Book

Diversity: Friendship

Illustrations: Pastel pencil drawings

My response to the book: We are all different, we all need friends and no matter what we turn ourselves into it is best to be ourselves. The blue chameleon evens turns himself into the white page of the book where you can feel and almost see his outline and finally he finds another chameleon just like himself to befriend. There is a link on the back cover for children to meet the author and play games at KIDS.SimonandSchuster.com

Curricular/Programming connections: Use this book during a story time with Pre-K – 1st graders to explain how we can all be different and still be friends.
