What a fun book. It's not often you get to follow a brave and honorable protagonist through a life of hardships he isn't constantly complaining about. Very refreshing. If your looking for a book that will place you in the American wilderness before Jamestown, against pirate and Indian attacks, then you know what a good book should be about. Also you should read "To the Far Blue Mountains".
