Pat Loughery I feel ashamed to admit this, but I started to read this after finishing The Road, and when I realized I'd already seen the movie, I bailed. McCarthy's a brilliant, but dark and bleak, writer. I needed something a bit less devastating :-)

Marcus Haha yeah, I haven't seen the movie otherwise I might have done the same. My feelings about McCarthy have a lot to do with my mood. I read Blood Meridian when I was feeling optimistic and my review ended up being somewhat negative because of that. No Country seems to have had better timing for me though. I couldn't put it down.

Pat Loughery I think the movie was fantastic. Tommy Lee Jones is born to play dudes like the sheriff, and whoever the creepy killer guy is, he still haunts me. Worth checking into anyway..
