Book group book for March. I hate going from a book to a movie, but this is kind of like reading a screenplay, to first watch a movie, then read the book. I'm a bigger Coen Bros fan than Cormac McCarthy, so watching the movie first made more sense.

I definitely visualize all the movie's actors in my head as a I read the book. A few additional details so far, but interesting and impressive to see how well the Coen's captured the tone and essence of the book.

I will say that reading the book provides me with a better grasp on the story's theme: this sense of foreboding, a rising sense of cultural chaos and degradation of the human spirit that suggests a cultural spiraling leading into unknown directions.
