4 of 5 stars
Read in August, 2011

Short, sweet and quite funny. Tommy goes on a date with his best friend to learn what he's doing wrong. The obvious happens but the story didn't come off as trite.

Yoshi it's good that you read something nice and funny after the last 2 books you have read :-)

Dlee I haven't even had a chance to tell you just how Bad my murder mystery turned out!

Yoshi I just checked all the updates and you gave it only 2*, it is bad enough---- Want to read some m/f romance suspense with serial murder? :-)

Dlee Okay. What is it called?

Yoshi I have read some Karen Rose, Lisa Jackson ones, but can't remember the book names. I have read one thriller with serial murder (not m/f at all) It's Messiah It was amazing! I remember I wanted to puke while reading it in the bus! Or, are you interested in The Killer Book of Serial Killers: Incredible Stories, Facts and Trivia from the World of Serial Killers It's an interesting read :-)

Dlee Is it graphic? I can't do graphic!

Yoshi well, yes, the Messiah is kind of graphic, but the mystery is good!
It reminds me the film Seven.

Dlee I haven't seen too many movies. :) I sent you a blurb for a book I was just about to start. Tell me what you think.

Hi Anne, You can't imagine how badly we needed something light and funny to read.... :-)

Dlee You know what is really strange? I keep thinking about how much I want more of Maloney's Law. I wasn't done with Paul!

Yoshi Maloney's Law sounds good. I am going to read it soon..... or now??
Is there some fun element in it?
I am not sure if I should read a Ethan Day or the rest of the Warder series

Dlee Maloney's Law is only available in paperback. I thought it was worth it. But it was Not a fun book. Dark and brooding.

Yoshi Oh... only in paperback...... I just checked amazon.de, it is 13€! I have never buy a book that expensive! But the book sounds pretty good though.

Dlee If all goes well, Ms. Brooks will be able to get it out there in e-book form soon. I hope so. I have a few friends that I want to read it. You can read a Dangerous Man in the meantime. It is Very Dark. Very disturbing. And one of the best books out there.

Yoshi Thanks for letting me know, I should wait for the ebook then.
I have read dangerous man, I liked it but hell, it was so dark and so different from the other books I have read.

message 17: by Dlee (new) - rated it 4 stars

Dlee Way darker than what I usually read. But it was so well written, I can't help but like it. Maloney's Law isn't nearly that dark and while the hero may have his issues, being crazy isn't one of them. There is a sequel to it, Bones of Summer. I keep hoping Brooks will put out a third one!

Anne Thanks, both. Yes I'm hoping Maloney will be available in ebook version at some point, but suspect it won't be till Jan 2013 due to legal issues, I fear :((

I'm not sure there's going to be a sequel to Bones, I have to admit, as I finally got Paul & Craig together and wouldn't know what to do with them next!! :))

Hugs galore

Dlee I could think of a few things! And not just naughty ones. After all, Paul could use some help with his agency.

Anne True! :))

Yoshi I am not sure if I can wait till Jan 2013 :-(
I may just end up buying the paperback.

Dlee It says something about Paul, that I'm not ready to let go of him yet. A lot of times, I think authors (in all genres that have sequels) find a good character and just keep writing book after book long after anything to say is gone. I'm glad you don't have any inclination to do that. But!

message 23: by Anne (new) - added it

Anne Sorry it's such a long time, Yoshi - I did my best to release it earlier but it's not to be :((

Though maybe when Paul is finally free, I may yet get more inspiration about him & Craig, Deb! :))

Hugs, both
