** spoiler alert ** 4 1/2 stars

It's a comedy of manners! How could I *not* love it? Forster deftly creates a cast of characters that are both caricatures and real people at the same time.

However, I'm not a huge fan of the ending... I know the moral of the story is to throw social norms to the winds and to marry whom you choose, but I kind of wish she hadn't. George is such an unsatisfactory hero.

Moira Russell George is such a PRICK. When I saw the movie I kind of wanted her to run off with Denholm Elliot. (Have you seen the movie? It's really well-done.)
