Enh.... Not crazy about this one. Read like a younger version of Saving Francesca, but I liked that book much better. I did not like the portrayal of the dad in this book at all: he's a wimp and never really comes out of that, even though he gets a job by the end of the book. The mom is a much stronger force, even though she's always at work. The story seemed a little cheesy to me overall, but there's nothing much objectionable in it. I think kids who are musical would find it fun.

Brandy Painter Hmmm...I was actually intending to read this soon. Might have to rethink that.
