really liked it
bookshelves: young-adult
Recommended for: my hip-hop students
Read in July, 2008

I read this in close succession after _The Hoopster_, and felt that Sitomer has really found a groove in Theresa (Tee-Ay). Though the same problems existed from _The Hoopster_ ( a long, winding exposition -- this book follows THREE YEARS of Theresa's life!), I also felt that it told a more true and real story of a much more normal high school student who is shocked and dismayed by the world around her and how her friends behave within it. This one hit much closer to home than either of the other books in the trilogy for me.
