Another good effort in this series. This time Davenport is in remote northern Wisconsin in mid-winter looking for a local murderer involved in a child sex ring. As is usually the case in this series, the crimes are pretty grotesque although the descriptions are not horrific. He sets up a pretty good set of alternative villains and, of course, develops another love interest. Well written and entertaining.
