Read in July, 2011

A moving, disturbing account of our out-of-control government (FEMA, Homeland Security) mistreated people in New Orleans after Katrina. Five stars for content, 3 for prose (style ok for news article, but awkward at times in novel form).

Sue Cowing I'd add a star or two. This is some of the most compelling journalism I've ever read. Mind-changing. Truly an American tragedy.

Sue: I agree the content of the book was important and compelling, but as a book, I found the writing and organization awkward. I did edit my review, however, based on you comment!
