As fun and light hearted as Cabot books are, this was a bit crude. Especially for young adult. And I'm not even that much older than the young adult age and I thought so. If you look past that, the pacing of the book is great, and its a quick read. The characters are witty and funny. Its got the the age old--in love with your best friend story line-- which actually seems fresh in this book. Almost cute, except for the 'I like creepily watching Jason naked, from my bathroom window' bit, definitely not a very classy part of this story. But the ending is kinda sweet, and you end up smiling over the arch that Steph goes thru.

As for the characters, Jason is Ducky from Pretty in Pink and//or that boy from Drive Me Crazy...I am not sure who Steph is trying to be--probably a mix of all 80s wannabes.
