Read from May 26 to June 01, 2010 — I own a copy, read count: 1

The Tenth Circle pulled off something that I think must be hard to achieve, it is simultaneously brave and sensitive. Rape is not an easy subject but it is handled in a thought-provoking way, covering many different angles and view points without ever forcing an opinion down the readers throat.

There are a number of other serious issues raised in the Tenth Circle; adultery; drug-use; suicide; violence; prejudice - and each of them is dealt with using equal finesse. The imagery of the prose is subtle and the graphic novel illustrations add another layer of orginality to a very good book. Jodi Piccoult strikes me as an ambitious author and I will definitely be reading more of her books in the future.
