Ladies and gentlemen, may I present a picture of breasts plus erect nipples in a tight pink T-shirt:

And so this early collection of humour by women was sold.

I shake my head. I know, it's the usual argument, I guess. It is liberated to present women in ways that men get off on. It's just that the men aren't allowed to say they get off on it.

But if the front cover isn't your thing, I wouldn't go any further. The nipples are quite the best bit.

I'm sorry. I don't get it. Maybe if you read it in the early seventies? I didn't get to it until twenty years later.

Jessica women are forever represented by their bodies, as if we're nothing more than...

I see it constantly on serious, literary, and otherwise fiction by women. The cover of my second book is a good example (a naked woman in flight). So so tiresome...

If it was your book, why couldn't you stop that?

Jessica authors do not have final say on book covers. Or they may, it very much depends on the publisher. So with my 3rd book, I did have say (different publ). With my 2nd book, there was a cover designer. She asked for input but ultimately it was her call. She said she loved the book and she felt the manipulation of the photo she used was...perfect.

oh well.
