She’s new to the neighborhood and meets and close by neighbor named Nancy. Nancy talks to Margaret a lot and Margaret doesn’t know about all the thing they talk about. When they get to school they have classes together and she meets the rest of Nancy’s friends. In the story Margaret goes through a lot and she asked good about most of the stuff she does. This book is fiction and is told by Margaret her self. The tone can be humorous in some ways but serious in others, and the theme is maturing. <br/> The overall message and the authors purpose is that growing up after the age of 11 is hard. For me it was hard at the age of 10 not going into details. Anyway you have to start going through a lot at this age. It is always good to have someone to go through it and someone who is a little mature then you. That way you can have someone to explain what is happening right now. The story is fiction and this was the first Judy Blume book that I have read. My mom recommended it to me and I ended up loving it, when I finally read it. The only weakness is that to me the beginning is sort of boring but the rest was great. <br/> With that being said I like this book. If I were 11 years old this book would give information on how some people handle it. I am so happy that my mom bought this book for me. I recommend it anyone. Especially at the age of 11.
