What a wonderfully wacky novel chock-full of characters and thin storylines that somehow draw the whole book together. Some characters are rich but briefly lived, others are shallow but you can't wait to read the next bit about them.

It's basically a history of LA, and the wonderfully plastic people who live, move and die there. There were so many characters I loved in this story. I'm sure LAers hate this book, but I really enjoyed it.
