Stephanie took a case that isn't normally her route. Missing mother and daughter and on top of that she is not even getting paid for it. I guess heroics can be applauded but may this one is stupid. Especially when it was so obvious that the mother and daughter are safe, sort of since Abruzzi, this book's bad guy, can seem to find them. I really think Stephanie was suicidal for taunting this man. And what's up with the sex scene with Ranger. I imagined it to be more, I don't know hot? Not really detailed but man this one was a disappointment since Evanovich created a lot of tension only to be described like that?! I understood, Ranger does not want emotions involved but still it can be written with passion. What a waste!
Even with those complaints I still enjoyed it. It was still funny and interesting. The murders are darker fits the description of how mad and insane Abruzzi is, seriously Stephanie needs to at least learn some karate skills.
The ending was brief and not too shocking. Now I am torn if I am Team Morelli or Team Ranger.
