This was exactly what I needed. I light, fast-paced love story that left me with a happy sigh at the end. And proving once again you really can't go wrong with Jennifer Crusie. Manhunting was published in 1993 and you can tell. There are a few pov shifts... the sentence structure sometimes reads, well, like it was written in the 90s but overall this book was so enjoyable, the characters so captivating, I just didn't care.

Jake Templeton: The man you'd most like to take fishing.

Kate Svenson: The woman you try not to like and end up rooting for.

Throw in a cake decorator (I'm all about cake decorators, they're a breed apart) a sassy bar owner, a well-meaning brother and a hopeless romantic and how could you go wrong?

I finished this book in 2 days. With my schedule, that says way more than it used to.
