A light summer read. Part of my personal goal to read books for the Buffalo and Erie County Library summer reading challenge.
It's as edgy as a memoir about being a pastry chef in NYC, with a look at the seedy side of the restaurant business. The author traces her career from a low-paid internship at the famous Nobu to achieving a modicum of success within that industry. I think it is capitalizing on the visibility in this strain of books from personalities like Gordon Ramsey and Anthony Bordain, but good on this author for carving out a piece of that pie for a woman's take on things.
