it was amazing

This the first one in the Edilean series and I am very excited to read the rest of the series. As a young girl, Jocelyn Minton befriends an older neighbor, Miss Edi, because she has more in common with her than her biological father and obnoxious twin step sisters. After Miss Edi dies, Joce finds herself inheriting Miss Edi's fortune- a house in Edilean and loads of money. But when she arrives in Edilean, she discovers there is no money, but there is a whole town of endearing and aggravating people. Putting her research skills to work, she discovers Miss Edi's true story and her own true love. I love the southern setting in Virginia, the strong Jocelyn protagonist and subtle romances that twist and turn.
