really liked it
bookshelves: picture-book, illustrated
Read in January, 2011

This book is graphically pleasing, set up in chapters with corresponding colors. The characters are adorable. It was discussed for the RI Mock Caldecott awards, and many found the rough and tumble treatment of the baby bunnies disconcerting. (getting dried in a dryer, hung out in socks on a clothesline (an image I myself loved), and having their clipped tails sewn back on.)

It was interesting to see the difference between people's reactions to this. Cute/morbid, etc. I liked the humor of the book, but agree that a sensitive child might be upset by some of the images. Beautifully illustrated and designed. Silkscreened, to boot.
