Karin Slaughter books are a new find for me this summer. The setting is in GA near Macon. The characters are relateable. The stories are gory good. So much death in such a small town. So many crazies living there or in the nearby towns. I love Sara, the town pediatrician and coronor. Her ex- on again husband is a good man trying to protect everyone...Lena, a damaged cop, is coming around...rape, pedophiles, murders, kidnappings....this one has it all...Slaughter has created some sick sick characters in the two books I've read, but the good characters act as a great balance.
