3.75 Stars,
5 out of 5 for hotness

Do I like pirates??

With the amount of time I spent licking this image through my computer screen I would say yes. Yes, I do.

Black Jack was an interesting read. It was a mix of two stories mingled into one. The first being a contemporary story of two best friends - Jack and Emma who are forced to act out a raunchy scene on stage when two of Emma’s acting staff members call in sick at her kinky nightclub. But the scene goes beyond merely acting....

The second story is about pirate Black Jack and his sassy captive Emma.

Both stories were hot...HAWT! Ranging from spanking, sex in public, sex with toys including gags, vibrators, restraints, ice and wax. There is also some back door entry....and I’m not talking about the stage door people.
I enjoyed both stories, but pirate Black Jack was definitely a lot more my style. There was more drama with Black which I felt the contemporary lacked.

Two things I feel I sorta, kinda need to mention. I know I sound awfully vanilla with this, but I hate the use of the word C U Next Tuesday. I know, I KNOW. It’s erotic romance, but I just don’t like it. Call it a pussy, call it bearded clam, beaver, cootchie, muff, breadbasket, vertical smile, magic muscle, cum-hole, cock-pit, passion pit, open wound, garage, love pouch, hot box, seething gash, porcupine, tunnel of love, snapper, red snapper, whisker box, temple of delight, whisker biscuit, hair pie, fish taco, moist oyster, fun hole, fur burger, magic grail, magic monkey, pink tortelini, just don’t call it c*nt. Ok, probably don’t call it fur burger or seething gash either, but I really don’t like c*nt. I don’t know why but it sounds derogatory to me.

2nd thing. Sexy Black Jack, kinda, sorta forces himself onto Emma at one point. I didn’t have a problem with it, but for those people who believe no means no – instead of no being the starting point for negotiations (as my husband says), I think they may have a problem with it.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish (view spoiler)

I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. THANK YOU!!!!

~E~ Riverina Romantics Lol. I'm glad Dhes.

I know its a stupid thing not to like seing as though that word is used all the time in erotic romance, but I just don't like it. It doesn't bother me enough to put a book down - hell no - I just prefer other words to be used.

Glad I made you laugh :)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish There are things that bother me too, Jodie, so I get it. The word 'cum' used to make me gag, regardless if it was being used as "come" or another word for sperm. I'm over it now, but yeah...

I get it.

~E~ Riverina Romantics Yeah that is another great word. But like you, I will probably be over my distaste for it with the more smut i reads.

I just always picture it being said in a vulgar manner. More sneered then spoken nicely. If that makes sense.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish It makes perfect sense!! I totally get it. I think that as I read more stories where the men loved the women who they were talking to and using the word to, it stopped being just a dirty word, and something more erotic.

~E~ Riverina Romantics Maybe I should get hubby to start saying it *spits coffee out in laughter* that might get me used to it.

Yeah right. He can barely say pussy without giggling like a girl. lmao
