So it's a bit like The Crow Road, but not as good, and a bit like What a Carve Up!, but not as good. The build-up is great, but the 'big reveal' is meh, and there are some very cringeworthy rants about the Iraq war and American imperialism shoehorned in. What a Carve Up! was a much better marriage of the personal and the political and The Crow Road was a better family mystery.
