really liked it

This being my second PKD novel, I was relatively well prepared. Even so, he still threw me for a loop with his madness. Throughout this complicated narrative, the inspirations for both The Matrix and Inception - and, therefore, a LOT of other big sci fi movies and stories of late - can be pretty clearly seen. Typical PKD insanity is on display with various dream-within-a-dream sequences, most of which are truly fantastic.

The characters are relatively flat and stock for a PKD novel, and that's my only reason for awarding this four instead of five stars. It's a crazy and enjoyable story, and I'm sure it was even crazier back when it was first published.
