Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?
by Steven Tyler
by Steven Tyler
The thing is... I'v met Steven and he really does talk this way. He's probably diagnosable ADHD, and my guess is that he just started talking into a tape recorder (really, really a lot), and the poor ghostwriter and editor had to try to make it, um, work.
It does actually. But you have to be in the mood for a somewhat schizophrenic read and forget the whole linear thing.
It doesn't really cover any new ground, and I would have liked a lot more current events info from the last five years, but this was still a fun read. If you're an Aerosmith fan it's a must read. If you like rock music in general, this might work for you.
If you only know Steven from American Idol, prepare for a more, um, adult experience than broadcast TV lets him get away with. He's profane, he's sexual, and he's done more drugs than most corpses.
