Long GoneAlafair Burke
This is the 3rd book I have read by Alafair Burke. Good Mystery Novels with suspense and this one had a neat plot.
Alice Humphrey, daughter of famous parents, lost in growing up. She is 30+, can't figure out what she wants to be when she grows up, can't find love, and chooses poorly in friends and careers. That all ends abruptly when she is offered a job to manage an Art Gallery. Life becomes very complicated quickly.
I did have a hard time identifing with her. She is a privilaged child, lives in NYC, dines at some of the best resturants, but supposedly lives in a less than special apartment? Some things just didn't add up in the novel. I can't identify with her, and I had a hard time in seeing her perspective in the novel.
