I was enthralled at the same time I was repulsed. This is one of Woodwiss's earliest in the 70's. There's rape disguised as romance and underage heroines and un-pc portrayals of slaves and blacks. But it had that KW zing to it that kept me reading. AND the heroine was TSTL (see spoiler below) for the most part. the book is falling apart in my hands and the pages are all yellow but I finished all 400 pages in a couple of days.
