There's some very strange people inhabiting these books, who seem to dip in and out of sight.
Jenkins the main protagonist seems to be in publishing, the story is related as a series of episodes or days, sometimes weeks or months apart.
Wonder if this is what life was like between the wars in England, house parties sound like great fun but it depends who you're with.
