When I read this the first time, I didn't like it very much. I was reading the Stephanie Plum series at the same time and I think I was getting bogged down with comparing the two. I gave up on the Plum series because they were getting redundant. I reread Metro Girl for my book club and really enjoyed it. Alex Barnaby 'Barney' is my kind of heroine. Tough, smart and funny. Unlike Stephanie Plum, who everything seems to happen to by accident, Alex actually thought through her choices and planned her course of action. A real fun, quick read.
