Set near Asheville NC there is the "mysterious" town of Walls of Water. Outdoor sports shop owner Willa Jackson and socialite do-gooder Paxton Osgood are the two main characters. Throw in good looking and charming Colin and Sebastian and you have a romance novel. There is a tinge of mystery/magic when Paxton tries to restore her family's Blue Ridge home (named Madam) to its former glory with plans to open a top-flight inn and to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of a women's social group. It seems the southern mansion was actually built by Willa's great grandparents but was lost to the Osgood family many years ago. The "magic" comes when a skeleton is found buried beneath the lone peach tree on the property and the town people begin to act strangely. Willa and Paxton must confront the dangerous passions and tragic betrayals that once bound their families and caused the mystery and magic to happen. A light quick read for the summer.
