A light mystery, not great, but not so bad that I wouldn't continue the series. I really like series-style books because once I know the characters, I enjoy reading more of their stories. I wasn't quite as impressed with the characters in this book, the writing was a little formulaic for my tastes. Eleanor, our main sleuth and her sister, Maddy, were predictable. The explanation of Eleanor's former beau, the Chief of Police, was not very believable. The worst part of Eleanor's back story, for me, was how stuck she was in the past with her deceased husband. There were scenes where the dialogue and memories of the past were so boring! As a plus, however, there was absolutely no sexual-based scenes, nor any profane language.
