Bad Luck and Trouble (Jack Reacher, #11)
by Lee Child
by Lee Child
If Jason Bourne and Jack Bauer had a love child, I'm pretty sure it would be Jack Reacher. I liked this book, but had to suspend some serious belief to get into it. No, I'm not talking Harry Potter magical Hogwarts stuff, just super action hero packed moments. OK, yes, Reacher is definately an action hero, but how does he beat the bad guys every single time, even when you think he's about to die?? Apparently nothing gets past him.
I learned:
YOU DO NOT MESS WITH THE SPECIAL INVESTIGATORS(just please don't)
Need help from a friend? Leave em a money code in their bank account.
Lots of new conspirary theories
The truth about Vegas
Super cool helicopter maveuvers(may result in death)
One thing you can count on seems to be Reacher getting revenge in the end, which is pretty dang satisfying. The closet thing I can think of comparing this book to is the Bourne series, and I liked Reacher a whole lot better because Bourne always made my head spin like a top. (Too many people, conspiracies, yada yada to keep track of) Anyway, I'm glad I picked up this book, because it's a page flipper for sure, even while you're smiling to youself thinking OK, OK well, calculate me the odds of Reacher beating every baddie that whirls and punches his way into his life.
So...I think I'm going to neccisitate a Reacher break now, because I could go a bit paranoid reading them all in a row.
