Hmm.. well this was a very quick reading, it was only 127 pages and the pages were rather short. I liked the ideas that the author came up with and I think her concept was intriguing. Yet, I didn't find the stories compelling me to continue reading. I only finished because the stories were short, and the book itself was short.

The rating for this book is more like 2 1/2 stars but I rounded up because there are no half marks. I think if the author tried to expand on two or three of the stories instead of writing 6 (I think) short stories, the book would have come out better. There were at least two stories that showed a lot of promise.

I think with all the hype of fairy tale re-tellings, and a particular fascination lately (at least that I've noticed) with Little Red Riding Hood, this collection did not reach or exceed my expectations.
