After a plagiarism scandal, Phoebe is forced to stop writing celebrity biographies and start teaching at a small college. She probably wouldn't even have gotten that job but her best friend Glenda is currently the dean there. When a student goes missing and is later found dead, several theories surface. Accident? Serial killer? Or is it connected to a secret society, The Sixes? Phoebe looks into it for Glenda, but the more she learns about The Sixes, the scarier they seem.
This was a fun read. It's definitely the type of novel that almost demands to be read near a beach, on a towel, preferably with a drink that comes with an umbrella. There are suspenseful parts, granted, but by and large, it's frothy fun.
It's also a good mystery, though; I didn't guess the actual killer.
Recommended.
