***I had received this book through the GoodReads Advance program.***

A Dog's Purpose was a funny, charming, provoking emotional story and, as an animal lover it touched my heart. The writing stile is quite simple, but I supposed it should be as the story is told from a dog’s point of view. The book's main character is very creditable, as he journeys through his several existences. The voice of the Dog was so convincing without trying to make the character too human or intelligent. He doesn't understand the human behavior, but he totally understands people’s feelings. The Dog's opinion of the other animals he encounters (especially of the cats) is hilarious and made me giggle. And yes, I cried … twice.
