really liked it
Read from July 16 to 30, 2015

I started reading this while sitting in the Old Town Square in Prague, so that was pretty cool.

It's higher fantasy than I was expecting but I dug it. All the talk of angels and pathways in the sky reminded me of Pullman in the best way.

And I really appreciate that it uses words like "arousal" instead of "a warm feeling I couldn't understand" that sometimes plagues YA. On the other hand it's actually violent too. Not gory or anything but none of this wussy mind torture or whatever.

The cover is garbage though.
