I didn't watch any of the show on USA, but the promos looked pretty good. So when I couldn't decide between a Sophie Kinsella and a Jane Green, I opted for neither and bought this book instead.Every once in a while when things have been too serious in my life, I like to pick up a fluff book and escape into it for a while. I don't expect anything much out of them.

Even so, this one was a bit of a disappointment. It was promising at the beginning, I thought. But as the story went on, the situations just became less and less believable. I thought the premise of the story was going to be a divorcee coming back to life and finding herself again. If that's the kind of story you're looking for, this ain't it. There wasn't much about her that was endearing or worth rooting for.

That said, it did fill the urge for a non-challenging book with nothing required but page-flipping. It might be worth a beach read if you can't find anything else.
