Last Night at the Lobster Last Night at the Lobster

A fulfilling feeling from this novella. Can he get enough drama out of the last day of a Red Lobster that's closing? Yes. I wish that O'Nan had given us a little more of the main character, for while the whole book is told from Manny's point-of-view (third person, limited omniscience) he's still a litle too opaque by the end of the book. Still, it was a relief to read a book that felt true and not like so many out there where, as I term it in my head, "stuff keeps happening" for no reason.
