I became bored with Nils and Meg’s past relationship because they rehashed it over and over again. At times, I found Meg childish and stupid. Also, mentioning how awesome the SEALs are in practically every paragraph—I’m exaggerating—is tiresome and tedious. The book became repetitive near the end.

Some of the personality traits, like Nils’ love for salsa music, were dropped in awkwardly into the story. Also, is it necessary to mention Alyssa’s skin color all the time? Doesn’t she have any other traits?
