This is the first autobiography I have ever read and I couldn't believe how much I enjoyed it. I thought it would only focus on his comedy career, throughout, but it explored his childhood and experiences and showed how they shaped his life. It gave me a real insight in how hard it is to become a stand up comedian and it shows that Michael McIntyre went through enormous struggles but through self-will and determination he achieved his dreams. There were a few laughs in there and it was the right amount. If there had been more than there was then it would've spoiled the story. He knew what to write in the right moment to put across the right emotions and I certainly felt affected by what he wrote. All and all this is a fantastic book and I now have a deeper understanding and respect for Michael McIntyre.
